Creative Department Intern
Availability:
Interns may work any combination of Monday - Friday between the hours of 9a.m. - 7p.m., 15-18 hours per week for the Fall and/or Spring semester (150 total minimum hours by end of semester)
Requirements: Interns need to be fully vaccinated and be able to work in our studios in Thousand Palms. Interns must also be able to enroll in a 3-unit Work Experience course to earn academic credit.
Learning Objectives include: assisting in producing, writing, shooting and editing commercials and promos, writing for a mass marketing audience, editing marketing videos for daily topical promotion of news stories.
The focus of their work would be to develop their writing for television marketing and social media marketing. They also would be focused on supporting our producers and reporters in engaging Millennials and Gen Z through social platforms.
Internships in our department are a very unique experience and the skills interns learn here become assets in your tool box that can be applied to any and all future careers.
This should be of high interest to Television, Film, Broadcast, Communications and Business students with an interest in marketing and media production.
