Studio Arts Intern

We are currently seeking interns that would like to become involved in an arts non-profit, situated near Old Town La Quinta! Old Town Artisan Studios provides classes ranging from pottery, ceramics, fused glass, painting, printmaking and more. We are known for our onsite classes and well as our outreach program, providing free and low-cost lessons to underserved individuals in the community. Our non-profit is seeking interns that will work under supervision of an art instructor and have a knowledge of one or more art mediums. Must be comfortable working with people of all ages, be a team player, and provide a positive experience to all those that we serve. Depending on level of experience and availability, interns may be asked to take part in our on-site classes, mobile art program, summer art camp, on-campus and off-campus events. Candidate will help others develop arts skills, cultivate positive values and attitudes through participation in arts activities.

Requirements*The candidate must be currently pursuing a Studio Art degree and possess some knowledge of one or more art mediums, such as ceramics, pottery wheel, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, painting, fiber arts, etc. Will be required to work under the supervision of instructor and studio manager.
