Dr. Raul Ruiz for Congress 2022 Internship
Dr. Raul Ruiz for Congress is now accepting applications for our Summer 2022 Internship Program. Campaign interns will get hands-on campaign experience on the highest-profile race in Riverside County and play a critical role in supporting the campaign's field, finance, and political teams.
The campaign is seeking responsible, enthusiastic, and dedicated students and individuals to play an important role in Dr. Ruiz’s re-election efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for high school and college students passionate about political activism and interested in furthering their understanding of the political process. This internship will give firsthand experience in how modern Democratic campaigns are conducted.
Participants admitted to the program will get firsthand experience in:
• Expanding their knowledge and experience in modern politics and Democratic political campaigns;
• Developing professional skills, including written and oral communication, event planning, and data entry;
• Learning about critical issues important to the residents of the 25th Congressional District;
The internship is a minimum of 7-10 hours a week for 8 weeks and is unpaid. No previous experience is necessary. For college students, credit opportunities are available depending on your school; please reach out to your school’s internship organizer for more details. Proof of vaccination is required to participate, and virtual programming might replace scheduled activities in response to changes with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Internship Dates
Summer Internship Dates: July 11th 2022 – September 2nd 2022
Fall Internship Dates: September 5th 2022 – November 8th 2022

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment
Responsibilities
• Assisting with the planning and preparation for campaign events
• Conducting and organizing voter registration efforts
• Assisting with the campaign’s mail and phone outreach programs
• Conducting donor research and assisting the fundraising team
• Updating and organizing the campaign database
